Stanhope Travel is a small family business based in the Durham Dales set up by husband and wife team Jon & Sam Cager. We are an Independent Travel Agency backed by one of the most trusted names in the industry, Midcounties Cooperative. 

Since opening in May 2007 we have built up a reputation for individual care and attention, giving both professional and un-biased advice. Each one of our highly trained travel consultants has the knowledge and passion to exceed all expectations and match your individual needs. Along with Jon & Sam, the team also consists of Kerry & Nicola which between them have over 50 years experience in the industry, Hazel who was our first apprentice and has now been with us for 5 years, and Jodie who has worked with us for 2 years now, but has been in the industry for 26 years and used to work with Nicola and Sam.

We are a small family business and we care, we will always offer the best package for you. We are members of ABTA & ATOL, and as part of a larger organisation we have the buying power to offer you the best value around. We keep the keep the prices low and the quality high.

We are a Member of ABTA which means you have the benefit of ABTA’s assistance and Code of Conduct. Many of the travel arrangements that we sell are protected in case of the financial failure of the travel company. Please ask us about the protection that applies to your booking.
